At Longevity Raw we have always been deeply committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our customers, consumers, and our employees. During these challenging times, we remain steadfast in ensuring that our customers have access to safe and healthy food for their pets. As we are considered an “essential business” to serve the needs of our customers, we will continue to coordinate our manufacturing, distribution, and direct sales with the highest food safety standards as well as to institute additional policies for the health and safety of our customers and staff.
Food safety is at the forefront of everything that we do at Longevity. We work closely with our manufacturers to ensure that all products coming through our supply chain and manufactured at our facilities are produced according to strict food safety guidelines adhering to state and federal requirements. We will continue our rigorous food safety testing program to be sure that products leaving our facilities are healthy for your pets to consume and for you to handle.
The worldwide pandemic has destabilized many supply chains, including our own. Our team is working diligently to meet orders to the best of our ability and to communicate any delays to our customers and retailers. We understand the frustrations about out of stock items as well as shipping delays and will continue to work with our manufacturers and shipping carriers to meet and fulfill orders as quickly as possible.
Our Longevity Raw headquarters and retail store remain open for curbside pickup and online sales fulfillment. We are carefully following guidelines provided by health officials; federal, state, and local governments; and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for operating and handling procedures. Over the past several weeks, we have instituted a number of additional measures to protect the health of our employees and customers, including:
• Restricting access to our facility by visitors
• Enabling work from home for all non-essential employees
• Requiring employees who are experiencing symptoms of illness to stay home
• Ensuring employees have proper social distancing
• Encouraging frequent and effective hand washing
• Increasing sanitation of common areas using disinfectant that is effective in killing viruses and consistent with maintaining our fulfillment areas’ safety
We will continue to closely monitor all developments related to the corona virus and to adjust our operations and procedures as needed to ensure the health and well-being of our customers and employees.
